Term Description

Automated estimation of percent of hypochromic red blood cells (% HYPO). The %HYPO parameter indicates the percent of cells that have a cellular hemoglobin concentration less than 28 g/dL and is derived from the RBC hemoglobin concentration histogram. This term was based on, but not limited in use to, the ADVIA 120 Hematology System.
