Cefquinome is a parenteral cephalosporin derivative antimicrobial drug. It has a broad antibacterial spectrum that includes Staphylococcus aureus, streptococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and members of the Enterobacteriaceae family, such as Escherichia coli, species of Salmonella, Klebsiella, Enterobacter and Citrobacter, and Serratia marcescens. Cefquinome is also active against many strains of methicillin-resistant staphylococci and enterococci. PMID: 2014969
