Allo-pregnanediol (5α-pregnane-3α,20α-diol), pregnanolone (5β-pregnane-3α-ol-20-one), epipregnanolone (3β-hydoxy-5β-pregnan-20-one) and pregnanediol (5ß-pregnane-3α,20α-diol) are metabolites of progesterone. During pregnancy and in certain phases of the menstruation cycle, these metabolites are excreted at higher levels.
