Grip strength Hand - right Dynamometer
Active
Term Description
NIH Toolbox recommended instrument for measuring grip strength is the Jamar Plus Digital dynamometer.
The Grip Strength Test provides a score for each hand, with the primary Toolbox score being the number of pounds of force the participant was able to generate using his/her dominant hand ("handedness" is assessed at the outset of Toolbox testing). This score is then converted to the Toolbox normative scale scores.
