Term Description
The Mood Disorder Questionnaire (MDQ) is a self-report screening tool for Bipolar Spectrum Disorder. The MDQ consists of 15 questions about symptoms, clustering of symptoms, and functional impairment. For a positive screen (likely to have bipolar disorder), a patient must identify seven or more symptoms, endorse clustering of symptoms, and indicate that their functional impairment is "moderate" or "serious."
