US Heart Transesophageal
Active
Term Description
Trans-esophageal echocardiography (TEE) can help in the diagnosis of heart and blood vessel diseases in adults and children. It may also be used for guidance during cardiac catheterization, surgical preparation or patient assessment either during or after surgery. TEE can be used in addition to transthoracic echo (TTE). If TTE images are insufficient, TEE may be recommended.
