Term Description
The number of staff (employees on facility payroll) who provided a written report or documentation of having received influenza vaccination outside the healthcare facility since influenza vaccine became available in an influenza season. Typically only those who receive a vaccination outside of the facility need to provide documentation. This term was created for, but not limited in use to, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) surveillance for healthcare personnel vaccinations.
