Part Description
LP71718-8 Smith extractable nuclear D
Smith extractable nuclear D (Sm-D) antibodies target Sm-D proteins, which are among the 7 Sm proteins (B/B', D1, D2, D3, E, F, G) that constitute the common core of U1, U2, U4 and U5 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP). SmD is a mixture of D1, D2, and D3. Of these, D1 and D3 are among those more frequently targeted by Anti-Sm antibodies. PMID: 15804705 Anti-Sm antibodies are a type of extractable nuclear antigens (ENA) antibodies that cause a variety of autoimmune diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
