CT scan of the heart and aortic root without contrast for calcium scoring followed by CT angiography with contrast. Calcium scoring is typically done based on the coronary arteries, but evaluating aortic valve calcification may be done as part of the radiologic assessment prior to transcatheter aortic valve replacement.
