Bordetella parapertussis IS1001 DNA [Presence] in Upper respiratory specimen by NAA with probe detection
Active
Part Description
LP248336-2 Bordetella parapertussis IS1001
The repetitive insertion sequence targets pIS1001 and hIS1001 are present in multiple copies per genome of Bordetella parapertussis and B. holmesii, respectively. The "p" in pIS1001 is for parapertussis and "h" in hIS1001 is for holmesii. These targets along with other target sequences (e.g. IS481) are used to detect and differentiate between B. pertussis, B. parapertussis, B. holmesii and other Bordetella species. PMID: 21940464
