GFAP IgG autoantibody binds to GFAPα, and is found in serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of indiviuals with GFAP astrocytopathy. GFAP antibodies are detectable by immunofluorescence (IF), cell-based assay (CBA) and western blot.
