Part Description
LP412148-1 Primary hyperoxaluria multigene analysis
Primary hyperoxaluria results from the overproduction of a substance called oxalate, which is excreted in the urine and can lead to stones in the form of calcium oxalate. This can lead to hematuria, urinary tract infections, kidney damage, end stage renal disease, as well as injury to other organs. There are 3 types 1,2 and 3 resulting from mutations in the AGXT, GRHPR, and HOGA1 genes respectively.[MedlinePlus Condition: primary-hyperoxaluria]
