Part Descriptions
LP230268-7 Gamma aminobutyrate B receptor
Gamma aminobutyrate B receptor (GABABR) is a neural surface cell synaptic antigen and is associated with limbic encephalitis and orolingual dyskinesias. Symptoms of limbic encephalitis include delirium, mood change, memory and personality disturbance and focal seizures of mesial temporal type with or without secondary generalization. Antibodies against GABABR indicate the possibility of undiscovered small cell lung cancer or other neuroendocrine neoplasia. PMCID: PMC3726118

LP269367-1 CBA IFA
In cell binding assays or cell-based assays (CBA) also known as cell-based immunoassays, the DNA coding for a particular antigen is transfected into cultured cells, which are then used directly as substrate for antibody detection by immunofluorescence. The advantage of CBA IFA over conventional immunoassays is that purification and stability of the antigen is not required and they provide an in vivo substrate.
