Relebactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor used in conjunction with imipenem for the treatment of Gram-negative bacterial infections. Relebactam is effective against class A and class C beta-lactamases and has been found to restore imipenem activity against some carbapenem-resistant strains of Klebsiella and Pseudomonas.
