Term Description

The personal well-being panel is a simplified version of the United Kingdom's Office of National Statistics (ONS) four subjective well-being questions (ONS4). The personal well-being panel captures patients' life evaluation, worthwhileness, happiness, and anxiety. Each level is indicated using a traffic-light metaphor with written labels, color, position, and images. Each response level is recorded on a 0-3 ordinal scale, with strongly agree = 3, agree = 2, neutral = 1, and disagree = 0. The total score is on a scale of 0 to 12 and is calculated by adding together the individual scores for all personal well-being items PMID: 31206049.
