Version 2.78

Term Description

The Rowland Universal Dementia Assessment Scale was originally designed to assess dementia in the elderly across various culturally and linguistically distinct populations. The scale consists of six tasks covering memory, body orientation, praxis, drawing, judgement and language. Linguistic adaptations have allowed for more widespread use of RUDAS outside of Australia. PMID: 30606042 The maximum total score is 30, lower scores are associated with higher possibility of cognitive impairment, with scores of 22 or less in need of physician referral for further investigation.
