Pupillary distance (interpupillary distance, binocular pupillary distance) is the distance between the midpoint of one pupil to the midpoint of the other pupil. Pupillary distance is helpful in diagnosing conditions with accommodation, stereo visual acuity, and convergence. It is also used in eye glass fittings. PMID: 28685104 Monocular pupillary distance is the distance between the midpoint of the pupil and the midpoint of the bridge of the nose.
