Viable CD34 cells
Active
Description
CD34+ cell viability is an important determinant of hematopoietic progenitor cell (HPC) transplant success. A significant decrease in CD34+ cell viability, reported in one study as 40%, occurs during stem cell processing and cryopreservation. Reduced CD34+ cell viability has been associated with longer times to platelet engraftment but not with time to neutrophil recovery. PMID: 12098064 Source: Regenstrief LOINC, PMID: 12098064
