Version 2.78

Description

2-Methylbutyrylglycine (2-MBG) is an acyl glycine generated by the L-isoleucine oxidation pathway. Increased levels of 2-MBG is a hallmark in short/branched-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase deficiency (SBCADD), an autosomal recessive inherited condition caused by a defect in isoleucine catabolism.
