Descriptions

An ocular motility exam is an examination of the movements of the eyes. The examiner moves their wiggling fingers to different quadrants of the visual field, asks the patient to follow their fingers with his/her eyes and notes any limitation in movement. Source: Regenstrief LOINC

An ocular alignment exam is examination of the two eyes to determine if they are fixated on the same point in space, or whether there is a deviation of one or both eyes. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
