Description
Perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (p-ANCAs) specific to formalin-resistant antigens, especially MPO, show cytoplasmic staining on formalin-fixed polymorphonuclear (PMN) cells. A positive result may be the evidence of microscopic polyangitis (up to 75% of patients) or Churg-Strauss syndrome (up to 50% of patients). Source: Regenstrief LOINC
