Description

Midazolam belongs to the benzodiazepine class of drugs and exerts anxiolytic, amnestic, hypnotic, anticonvulsant and sedative effects. Midazolam binds to the benzodiazepine receptor at the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) - chloride ionophore complex found in the central nervous system.
