Thiothixene is a typical antipsychotic agent that has similar effects to phenothiazine. It blocks postsynaptic dopamine receptors and decreases dopamine activity, and helps reduce hallucinations and delusions. It is primarily metabolized in the liver. [PubChem: 941651] Source: Regenstrief LOINC
