Topotecan

Description
Topotecan (brand name Hycamtin) is used to treat ovarian cancer after failure of first-line chemotherapy, for second-line treatment of small cell lung cancer, and for cervical cancer (FDA approved in adults). Topotecan has also been used to treat other cancers, including non-small cell lung cancer, myelodysplastic syndrome, and various pediatric solid tumors. Topotecan blood levels are monitored during treatment to monitor side effects and check response to therapy. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
