Transforming growth factor alpha Ag
Active
Description
Transforming growth factor alpha (TGF-alpha) is a polypeptide growth factor that binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor and is thought to stimulate cell proliferation. Expression of TGF-alpha has been documented in several non-tumorous tissues and in a variety of tumors. It plays a role in tumor progression via the stimulation of cell proliferation and the induction of a transformed cellular phenotype. It is recommended for immunohistochemical detection of TGF-alpha production in human tumor cells, immunoserological monitoring of progression of malignant tumors and for screening of therapeutic efficiency of different human tumors.
