Akt1 phosphate Ag
Active
Description
Akt1, also known as Akt or Protein Kinase B (PKB), is an intracellular protein that, when activated, leads to cellular division; it is dysregulated in a large number of malignancies. Increased Akt1 phosphate (phosphorylated Akt1 protein) indicates tumorigenesis and provides prognostic information. It is suggested that monitoring phosphorylation of Akt1 improves the assessment of Akt1 activation, and Akt1 activation is a poor prognostic factor for NSCLC, breast and prostate carcinomas.
