Descriptions

Anticoagulant rodenticides, such as brodifacoum, bromadiolone, coumafuryl, coumatetralyl, difenacoum, diphacinone, difethialone, and chlorophacinone, are effective pesticides for reducing pest rodent populations and associated damage. The wide use of them has led to testing for suspected intoxication in both domestic animals and human beings in accidental and intentional cases. Most human cases are related to accidental consumption by young children, intentional ingestion, or occupational exposure to these toxins. Source: Regenstrief LOINC, PMID: 20529461
