Baylisascaris is a genus of roundworms found in raccoons and other animals, and people. Baylisascaris tests can be performed on serum and CSF. ELISA and Western blot testing methods are available. Baylisascaris testing may be part of the etiology workup for Chorioretinitis (CR) which is an inflammatory process that involves the uveal tract of the eye. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
