Description
Total spectral power of an EEG recording is the sum of the power in each of the frequency bands alpha, beta, delta, theta, sigma and gamma. The total power is important for calculating the relative power of each frequency, which when observed over time, can help identify shifts in brain function. [Guilleminault C. Clinical Neurophysiology of Sleep Disorders. New York: Elsevier; 2005.] Source: Regenstrief LOINC
