Description
The basis for continuous non-invasive arterial pressure (CNAP) method of blood pressure measurement is measuring the blood volume in a finger by photoplethysmography and keeping it constant by applying corresponding external pressure. The continuously changing external pressure needed to keep the volume constant corresponds directly to the arterial pressure. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
