Serotonin release 0.2 IU/mL heparin.unfractionated
Active
Description
The serotonin release assay (SRA) is a functional test for the detection of heparin-dependent antibodies in heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT). Patient's serum is added to donor platelets along with varying concentrations of heparin. Low heparin causes platelet activation in the presence of positive patient antibodies, with inhibition by excess heparin. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
