Fel d 4 (a lipocalin) is an important cat allergen. It is the product of the cat major urinary protein gene, but is primarily produced in saliva and is deposited onto dander as the cat grooms itself. 63% of cat allergic people have antibodies against Fel d4. PMID: 15544598 Source: Regenstrief LOINC
