Spermatozoa.normal chromatin
Active
Description
Chromatin is the genetic material that condenses to form chromosomes during eukaryotic cell division. Emerging evidence suggests associations between DNA integrity and chromatin organization in spermatozoa and fertility (Sakkas et al., 1998; Aitken & Krausz, 2001; Virro et al., 2004). Spermatozoa morphological defects have been associated with increased DNA fragmentation (Gandini et al., 2000), an increased incidence of structural chromosomal aberrations (Lee et al., 1996), immature chromatin.
