Rearrangements involving the ROS1 gene region (6q22) are detected in 1-2% of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cases. PMID: 23877438 Patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC that is positive for the 6q22 (ROS1) rearrangement have been shown to respond to treatment with ALK/MET tyrosine kinase inhibitors, such as crizotinib.
