Version 2.77

Description

Dermal lymph-vascular invasion is invasion of the dermal lymphatic vessels as seen on histolopathologic exam. Dermal lymphatic invasion is often seen in patients with inflammatory breast cancer, which is characterized by blood vessel proliferation, invasion, and subsequent distant metastases. Patients with dermal invasion without inflammatory disease have significantly longer disease-free and overall survival compared to those with inflammatory disease.
