Version 2.77

Description

Ethoprop is an organophosphte, cholinesterase inhibitor that is used as an insecticide, namaticide, and fungicide on food and non-food crops. Ethoprop prevents cholinesterase from the accumulation of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine causing neurotoxicity. Ethoprop is highly toxic when absorbed through the skin or inhaled. Chronic exposure to ethoprop can lead to liver damage. Ethoprop is a suspected carcinogen.[PubChem:3289][http://www.cdpr.ca.gov/docs/risk/rcd/ethoprop.pdf] Source: Regenstrief LOINC
