Description

The chemical 3,4,5-trimethylphenyl methylcarbamate is a highly toxic cholinesterase inhibitor. It is used as an insecticide and miticide against rootworm in corn fields. Symptoms of poisoning to 3,4,5-trimethylphenyl methylcarbamate include malaise, muscle weakness, dizziness, sweating, headache, salivation, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, central nervous system depression, pulmonary edema. 3,4,5-trimethylphenyl methylcarbamate is moderately toxic to fish and other aquatic wildlife.[http://www.pesticideinfo.org/Detail_Chemical.jsp?Rec_Id=PC37292] Source: Regenstrief LOINC
