Version 2.78

Description

Veterinary Medicine: Sulfadimethoxine is a long-acting sulfonamide antibiotic that is used to treat skin and soft tissue infections caused by strains of staphylococcus aureus and escherichia coli and urinary tract infections caused by Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus, and Proteus mirabilis. When used in a 5 to 1 ratio with the antibiotic Ormetoprim, the combination increases the strength of Sulfadimethoxine's properties of fighting infection and reduces the resistance rate the bacteria might have against the antibiotic by blocking the bacteria's metabolism of folic acid, depriving the bacteria of folate coenzymes.
