Description
F2-Isoprostanes, also known as 8-iso-prostaglandin F2alpha and F2-IsoPs, are formed from the peroxidation of arachidonic acid and are measured as a marker of oxidative stress. Urine F2-IsoPs are markers for multiple conditions, including atherosclerosis and coronary disease, diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, and cigarette smoking.
