Description

2-hydroxyphenylacetic acid is a metabolite of p-tyramine and a biochemical marker for lung cancer, schizophrenia, spina bifida, and some metabolic diseases, such as phenylketonuria (PKU). 2-hydroxyphenylacetic acid is also a metabolite of tyrosine via enteric bacteria.
