Description
Aneusomy (varying number) of chromosome 7 is evaluated by using a DNA probe that marks the centromeric region of chromosome 7. Such a probe is also called CEP7. The ratio of the number of signals of the MET gene, also on chromosome 7, to the chromosome 7 signal can indicate whether or not there is amplification of the MET gene. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
