Dalbavancin (INN, propriatory name Zeven) is a novel second-generation lipoglycopeptide antibiotic. It belongs to the same class as vancomycin, the most widely-used and one of the few treatments available to patients infected with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
