Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale
Active
Description
Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (ORT) is a respiratory infection that occurs in turkeys and other birds. Clinical symptoms associated with ORT infections include tracheitis, airsacculitis, sinusitis, pericarditis and exudative pneumonia. Affected birds show signs of depression and ruffled feathers, reduced feed intake, and decreased egg production. The severity of the disease is worsened when other respiratory infections coexist.
