It is also synthetically produced and used to treat inflammation in a number of disorders including arthritis, bursitis, gout, and tendinitis. Cortisone is also used to treat allergic reactions that include rash, sneezing, dyspnea, edema, and bronchospasm. Systemic use of cortisone can evoke immediate or delayed allergic reactions causing symptoms that range from rash to anaphylaxis or death. PMID: 10332537 |
