Description

Panax ginseng (commonly known as ginseng) is a plant found in parts of Asia and Siberia. The root is used as medicine to improve overall health including memory and cognition. Panax ginseng is a different plant from American ginseng, Siberian ginseng, and Panax pseudoginseng.

Allergic reactions to ginseng are rare but have been reported. PMID: 15520631 Allergic reactions include rash, itching, anaphylaxis, and severe dizziness. Source: LOINC
