Description
Megakaryoblasts are precursors to megakaryocytes, the cells that release platelets. Acute megakaryoblastic leukemia affects both children and adults. In children, it is more common in the 1 to 3 year-old age group, and especially in children with Down syndrome PMID: 7496359. Source: Regenstrief LOINC
