Thymol turbidity test

Description
The thymol turbidity test indirectly measures globulin concentration by mixing a part blood with 60 parts of a supersaturated thymol solution and measuring the resulting turbidity. High levels of turbidity are indicative of disorders such as acute viral hepatitis and cirrhosis. https://www.britannica.com/science/thymol-turbidity Turbidity value of less than 5 is considered in normal range, 6-12 is considered the "cirrhosis" range, and values of 12-30 are seen in the acute phase of viral hepatitis.
