Effluent pressure
Active
Description
Effluent pressure is the pressure of the effluent in the circuit. The effluent is comprised of ultrafiltrate and/or spent dialysate fluid, depending on the type of renal replacement therapy. A decreasing effluent pressure with increasing transmembrane pressure (TMP) is an indicator of membrane clogging due to protein build-up on the blood side of the filter. PMID: 29984198
