Pacemaker mode
Active
Description
The pacemaker mode indicates which chamber is being paced and whether the pacing is asynchronous or demand. Asynchronous pacing means that a stimulus is delivered at a specific rate regardless of any underlying electrical activity, and demand means that if electrical activity (depolarization) is sensed, then the pacemaker does not delivery the stimulus during that cycle.
