Description

Eosinophil derived neurotoxin (EDN) is one of the eosinophil degranulation products that has been implicated in the patholphysiology of asthma. It is a promising biomarker for the monitoring of asthma in both children and adults. Elevated levels of EDN has been shown to be a promising marker for eosinophilic inflammation and EDN has also been reported as a potentially useful marker in other inflammatory conditions PMID: 23390439.
